My arsenal of choice has been Ugly Sticks with many different strengths and lengths with Penn or Okuma reels. Both products never let me down. And as a younger man, 68 now, I fished every minute that I could and still keep my motorcycle shop open and in business.

From everything I've read about tarpon your average 4ft tarpon is about 60 to 70lbs I get them pretty often this time of year in the 10000 islands south of Marco Island

You’re short handed, there’s an angler, a captain but no mate. You are using a standard 5 rod spread. I’m assuming that’s a W-pattern with planers. I never fished on the troll with an electric reel. That can double for the angler as long as you can keep the fish in control while in the sluice while being wired or to leader. Interesting! 🤔

You should have taken responsibility for your mistake . Darcy explained what you did wrong but again you acted like a child . I really like the way Darcy fishes she has so much knowledge . Here's another example of PUDDING not listening to Darcy. PUDDING LOL when are you going to stop acting like you know it all ?
